Nightmare

Strange that i have been having vivid dreams lately.

Tonight's dream: nuclear disaster.

Starts off that Lindsey, Johnny and I are at some family party in Arizona. Behind their house is an Army base or something and they are practicing with all sorts of weapons. They are dropping bombs and what not, then the infintry comes in with flame throwers. We go back towards the front of the house and talk some more then it's a bunch of civilian disaster workers, first responders, and police officers. They have tyvek coverals on and are on the ground in like a "crash" position. Doesn't seem like a training exercise anymore.

I grab Johnny (Lindsey wasn't near me at the time in this dream) and dive into a corner just in time or a bright flash (but not too bright) and a lot of wind. Everyone gets up and walks to the buildings on the base.

Those of us left in the house are outside looking toward the west and we can see the missles heading up an a couple heading down. One explodes over what is aparently LA.

A short time later it starts to rain and I try to keep everyone out of the rain becase it could be radioactive fallout. (Yes, just like in Jericho)

The rain stops and we turn a tv on to an LA station and they are showing damage to buildings, and a medivac helicopter loading someone on board. Then it moves to footage of a basketball game then the picture goes dark and when the lights come up on the picture everyone is crouched down.

So anyway... I have an irrational fear of nuclear exchange with an unknown enemy, aparently. I really should stop watching Failsafe before going to bed. Just kidding! I wasn't watching that.

Strange dream

I had a dream last night that was very long and detailed, and I remember pretty much all of it.

Starts out in some country, and I was part of this sort of Federal Marshal team to bring back some political prisoner. We went to the prison to get this person and discovered that hundreds of people are being held there wrongly. Somehow it turns into a massive jail break, and my boss leads this "exodus" from the prison.

We're chased by the guards and we return fire. I take the rear to make sure that everyone makes it safely. We stop to let everyone catch up and rest for a moment, when the prison guards also catch up. My boss tells me to take as many people as possible and make a run for it (we were not surrounded). So I pass the word and we make a break for it. We're running across this dirt parking lot towards a city.

Once inside the city we're somewhat safe from the prison guards (maybe we crossed a border or something?). Turns out it's kind of like Las Vegas and here I'm leading a couple of hundred people down the sidewalk. So we look for an abandoned casino/hotel so that everyone can rest for the night. We come across one but right before we walk up to it, it implodes. So I ask a street vendor where another abandoned hotel might be and she tells me the location.

We bump into this pick pocket who ends up showing a few of us this really cool lockpick set that's hidden around her ankle.

We press on and come to this abandoned hotel. Everyone is able to relax and rest. The next day the bad guys catch up and again we get everyone out. Somehow I lead them to Bakersfield (or someplace like it) and that is somehow safety. I apparently know someone who lives out there with a massive home large enough to fit our refugees.

Once we get to that point I start searching the refugees to see if my boss and the whole federal marshal team made it.

And that's when I woke up. It was a fun dream, filled with action and adventure.

Easter 2008

It's Johnny's first Easter! Since I have to be at the live broadcast at 04:30 we're debating on if Johnny should spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We'll see!
